Charles Kenneth “Ken” Schnable, 78, of La Porte, Indiana, handed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021.
Ken was born March 5, 1943, in Tampa, Florida, to the late Charles Kenneth and Juanita (Jones) Schnable.
On Aug. 29, 1964, Ken married Eleanore A. “Ellie” Malec, in Terre Coupe, Indiana, who preceded him in demise on Feb. 7, 2021.
He’s survived by his two sons, Okay. Dirk (Amy Tomczak) Schnable and William Brook (Francisca Thompson) Schnable, each of La Porte; sister, Judith (Schnable) Whitaker of Hammond, Indiana; and a number of other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in demise by his spouse, Ellie; toddler daughter, Theresa Schnable; his mother and father; and sister, Kathleen (Schnable) Bachert.
Ken was the President of Schnable Alarm Techniques, Inc.; a 32-year veteran of La Porte Fireplace Division, 16 years as Battalion Chief and 4 years as Fireplace Chief; proprietor of Juanita’s Magnificence Salon; and proprietor of Schnable’s Software program Options. He served in america Air Pressure from March 8, 1962, to March 8, 1966, and attained the rank of A/2C. He was a member of Knights of Columbus-Saint Michaels Council; The American Legion Publish 83; Society of American Magicians; La Porte Eagles Arie 2439; Previous President of La Porte Lions Membership; and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in La Porte.
Visitation will likely be from Sep 11 a.m. adopted by a Memorial service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Dwelling, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.
Memorial contributions could also be made to La Porte Lions Membership, P.O. Field 565, La Porte, Indiana, 46350.
